Want some cuccidati for your 4th of July holiday week?! If you have a day off, come join us in the bakery to make some cookies!

You asked, so we’re delivering! We had so much fun at the holidays at this class, that we’re offering it again for the spring season! In this class, we’ll be making homemade Italian fig cookies, known as cuccidati. This is a dying skill that not everyone has the stamina to create in their own kitchens anymore. The recipe for cuccidati I use is my grandmother’s. She is no longer here with us, but I’d LOVE to share this nostalgic tradition with you, to honor all the many pounds of Italian cookies my grandparents would make for our family each holiday season.

This class will be more instructive and hands on than our decorating classes. Class amount will be limited, for a more intimate experience, and we’ll be working in small groups to create cookie dough, fig filling, and assembling product. You’ll receive a few recipes to try out at home, and when we’re through, you’ll be able to take the cookies you worked on in class home with you. They’ll store fine if you’d like to save for the following Mother’s Day weekend, as they freeze perfectly if you’d like to save to enjoy anytime in the next few months!

Minimum age for this particular class is 16 years old. Every person in the room must register to participate. Class registration will be capped at 12 people.

Upon signing up for this class, you agree to all rules and terms in the description about our classes on the website at https://buffalocakepops.com/product-category/classes/. Classes may be canceled on account of low attendance or on account of changing CDC/NY State guidelines for Covid 19 gatherings. We need 4 people signed up for a weekend class to run, and 6 people signed up on a week night to hold a class, but this number may change at the discretion of our business at any time. As of 12/9/22, there are no refunds for classes. If you are no longer able to attend a class you have signed up for, you may transfer your registration to someone else, you may notify us that you can no longer attend and we can try to fill your spot for you (if, and only if, someone signs up in your place, we can refund you), or you may use your class credit to purchase desserts from our bakery within 3 months of your class date.
