Decorating Class Instructor
(part time, flexible hours, make your own schedule)
We are looking to expand our decorating class offerings this holiday season! This position would be ideal for a multi-tasker who is a true team player. The ideal applicant will have general knowledge of working in customer service and/or a previous bakery. We are looking for a self- starter that can take the initiative to design and teach decorating classes of whatever your specialty or interest may be. This can include the following and beyond: decorating sugar cookies with royal icing, cake and cupcake decorating with buttercream, chocolate chip cookie cake decorating with buttercream, drop cookie baking, any other sort of baking class you might have knowledge of (macarons, bread baking, croissants, rolls, etc). You can choose from our set designs of already established classes, but we’re really looking for fresh new ideas! You would have help with class if you needed an extra pair of hands on deck.
This position would truly be setting your own hours! You make the class schedule and hours, decide whether you want to prep yourself or have our team help in preparations. Anytime Saturdays and Sundays are best, but we also offer week night classes. This would be a part time position, but can create as many hours as you would like to build for yourself.
Kitchen/Retail Assistant
(part time, weekends a must, some week nights (and possibly afternoons if the opportunity arose)
This position would be ideal for a multi-tasker who is a true team player. The ideal applicant will have general knowledge of working in customer service and/or a previous bakery. Our greatest need headed into the holiday season is someone to help with decorating class preparation, cleaning (dishwashing, sweeping, moping, etc.), tidying and customer service during retail hours. This position will also end up helping with preparing product to be baked and decorated, but past experience is not necessary, as we are willing to train an eager and enthusiastic dessert lover!
Weekend availability is a must (Saturdays 9-4pm, varied Sundays as needed), select week nights, with possibility of afternoon help if your schedule allows. This would be a very part time position, 5-20 hours a week.
