Baker/Decorator/Class Instructor
PT: 20-30 hours per week, varied schedule, must have weekend ability
PLEASE NOTE: at this time, we have an extremely specific need in help. THIS application is for a BAKER/DECORATOR, however, focus will be more on helping with decorating classes and training to lead classes of your own.
This position would be ideal for a MULTI-TASKER who is a true team player. The ideal applicant will have general knowledge of working in customer service and/or a previous bakery. Our greatest need in having another baker/decorator on staff is someone to help with preparing for our decorating classes, who has a general knowledge of decorating a variety of desserts, and has the demeanor and energy for assisting and leading decorating classes of their own. This person MIGHT also help with custom orders, and will help lead retail of baked goods and baking supplies in the bakery. This person will also help the team keep a tidy kitchen throughout the day. The ideal applicant will have past bakery experience, and previous experience baking, decorating (especially sugar cookies, cakes and cupcakes) and a general working knowledge of their way around a kitchen. We are also willing to train to get the ideal enthusiastic and self motivated team member up to speed on these tasks, but past baking experience is a must.
