Once upon a time, I had a vision of ‘Buffalo’s Largest Christmas Cookie Exchange’.

Then covid happened, and I couldn’t wrap my head around 100 + people getting together to exchange cookies they had baked in their homes.

But then- you came to our decorating classes. And you wanted more.

You wanted to bake. You wanted to create. You wanted to do just about anything that allowed you to spend time together in our bakery. You wanted to share stories, desserts, laughter, and connection.

But what you really wanted was….my cuccidati recipe.
Cuccidati are essentially a very fancy Italian fig cookie- like a homemade fig Newton, but so much better! My grandmother’s recipe is truly a labor of love.
What I wasn’t ready for was offering 35 cuccidati classes in a single year!!!!
Each class was 3 hours long. We prepped everything together, you rolled & shaped your own cookies, and everyone went home with 2 and a half pounds of cookie. And of course, that warm and fuzzy feeling.
But I STILL wanted MORE cookies! I wanted to learn new recipes, exchange family recipes, and try a bit of every single thing.
And then came ah-ha moment #2!
What if you came into the bakery, baked your own recipe, and exchanged cookies with everyone at the end?
Because baking holiday cookies along in your kitchen can be a little sad. And a lot of work!
Instead, let’s gather. Let’s bake together. Let’s talk about the recipes, share the stories behind them, learn by watching one another, and leave with a beautiful assortment of homemade cookies.
You’ll eat, laugh, learn, gather, and go home with cookies for your holiday celebrations- plus a booklet containing every recipe your group prepared!
Here’s How It Works:
You bring your own group of friends or family members and choose one of our available dates and times.
Each participant selects one cookie recipe to make during the party. We recommend choosing different recipes so your group leaves with the greatest possible variety.
During your three-hour private event, each guest will prepare approximately 3 dozen cookies. Exact yields may vary depending on the recipes selected.
At the end of the party, everyone will exchange cookies and leave with:
  • An assorted box of holiday cookies
  • Approximately three dozen cookies in total
  • A printed booklet containing all of the group’s recipes
  • The satisfaction of completing your holiday baking without having to clean your own kitchen!
Party Details:

Choosing and Submitting Your Recipes:

  • Review any unusual techniques or equipment needs
  • Organize and print your group’s recipe booklet!

All recipes are subject to approval by BCP.

We may ask you to choose a different recipe if your original selection cannot reasonably be completed during the event.
