Pop Tarts??? Yes! But this time, with sourdough.

In this warm, hands-on class, we’ll transform sourdough starter into something a little nostalgic and a lot delicious: homemade sourdough pop tarts with a flaky, tender, tangy crust.

Inspired by the beloved breakfast treats of the 1980s and the hand pies my grandmother lovingly made, these little pastries bring together childhood nostalgia and the beauty of making something from scratch. We’ll create golden sourdough pastries filled with sweet brown sugar and strawberry filling, then finish them with all the goodness of a homemade treat.

In this class, you will:

  • Learn the full process for making homemade sourdough pop tarts, including all of my tips and tricks for creating a flaky, tender crust.
  • Receive a developed sourdough starter, lovingly replicated from my own, and learn how to care for your starter for years to come.
  • Create your own sourdough pop tarts in class to take home and enjoy.
  • Take home a detailed recipe booklet filled with process photographs, recipes from class, and sourdough schedules to support you in making these at home.
  • Taste fresh-baked samples and enjoy the nostalgic goodness of homemade pop tarts.

This is more than a pastry-making class. It’s an invitation to revisit something familiar, make it by hand, and discover how a little sourdough can transform an everyday treat into something truly special.

Cancellation Policy

This cancellation policy is for a class taught by Buffalo Cake Pops. If your instructor is from a different small business, cancellation policies and terms may differ- please check at the company sign up link for more information.

If a class is canceled by us due to low enrollment, instructor illness, or unforeseen circumstances, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule for a future class of your choice. Refunds will be processed back to the original payment method within 5–7 business days.

If You Cancel Your Enrollment :

  • 1 week before the class - You may request a full refund or transfer your registration to another available class.
  • 4-6 days before the class - You have the option to have your class registration switched to another decorating class within 2 months of the class date.
  • Less than 72 hours - We are unable to offer refunds or reschedules due to preparation and ingredient costs. No-Shows – No refunds or credits will be issued for no-shows.
